To view the device properties, change any configuration parameter or send a command to a device use the device configuration tool. There are two ways to access the device configuration tool: one is using the configuration icon on the device object view:
The other way to access the device configuration tool is on the device list view using the link on the name of the device:
On the device configuration tool, the Device Properties view is displayed, on this view, you will find the basic properties editor (the pencil icon next to the name), settings, status and bindings.
- The basic properties editor will allow you to change the name and tags of the device.
- The settings tab will show different configuration options and commands depending on the device.
- The status tab will also change on depending on the device type, but is where to find information about the health of the device, battery level, link signal level (RSSI) and location.
The bindings tab shows in the case of the collector devices, the sensor that is bind and use the collector to send the readings to the Bindelo Platform. In the case of the sensors, the bindings tab shows the collector that the device uses to send the readings to the Bindelo Central.
