SL900SM Manual

This wireless sensor can measure the soil conductivity and the approximately moisture level.
Every time the batteries are removed from the sensor it resets the soil moisture scale. Once the batteries are installed, and the sensor probe is inserted in to the soil, the sensor will start to find the maximum and minimum moisture levels and according to this threshold it will adjust the scale. This helps to have more accurate readings as the conditions of the soil change.
Is recommended that once the sensor is installed to water the soil to the maximum capacity and then let the soil dries so the sensor can set the scale faster.
To install the sensor a Bindelo SL900-Collector must be in range, connected to the internet, and connected to the same Bindelo account as the SL900 sensor to be install.
To connect the SL900 sensor to your Bindelo account, login in to your account then go to Devices on the main menu and select Add Device. On the emerging dialogue enter the MAC of the sensor, you will find it on the label on the side of the sensor. Then add a name for the sensor so you can easily identify the sensor and finally add some tags so later you can group your devices.
Once the device is added it will take some time until the first reading arrive and the sensor can be fully identify inside the account with all it characteristics, during this process the top banner of the object view of the sensor will look black, when the first reading arrive the color of this banner will change to green and the reading and all the parameters of the sensor will appear.
To help to deploy the SL900 and ensure the sensor is within the range of the collector. On the back side of the sensor under the battery lid is a button. When this button is pressed for a couple of seconds the front LED will flash and then will be solid on indicating the range test mode is on. Every time that the Collector reply a ping from the sensor the LED will blink, this means that the Collector is in range. It is important to turn off the range test mode by pressing again the button until the LED turn off. While the sensor is in range test mode it won’t send any readings and the battery usage will be very high.
